Getting juniors engaged and playing golf is one of the things we do really well here at Chipstead. Our junior academy includes a great range of programmes, including after school, weekend, and holiday camps so your young golfer can get out on the course all year round.
Nic Torbett, our club Pro, has been teaching junior golf for over ten years and knows how enjoyable and rewarding the game of golf can be.
“I started golf at a young age as a junior member of Chipstead Golf Club and know the importance of learning golf the right way” – Nic Torbett
The programmes are run by Nic for junior golfers of all ages and abilities. And are taught in a fun and relaxed environment. Once enrolled in the Junior Academy, progress will constantly be monitored with lots of advice and encouragement along the way. All aspects of the game are covered, including an understanding of the rules and etiquette.
In the school holidays, we offer two great junior camps, Birdie and Eagle, which are aimed at different ability levels. We are really keen to ensure that kids who have never given golf a go, love the experience so we make sure our camps are fun and engaging.
Over the last ten years, we have seen four of our Juniors play for Surrey at both Junior and Senior level; one of whom went on to become an England International at both Junior and Senior levels. All four have since progressed to the professional ranks.
