OFFER EXTENDED: NHS workers can now enjoy unlimited free rounds of golf until March 2022.
Established in 1906, Chipstead Golf Club is a fixture of the Surrey hills that for over a century has welcomed visitors with pastoral views of the surrounding country, and the familiar serenity only found between tee and fairway.
Due to the government imposed lockdown, made necessary by the COVD-19 pandemic, the club is currently closed to members and the public, however, their team are not remaining passive during the crisis.
Chipstead Golf Club really want to celebrate our NHS heroes, as such they are providing an opportunity to enjoy the tranquillity of its grounds and the great game itself by offering unlimited, free rounds of golf to NHS workers until March 2022.
The club works hard to foster a family-friendly environment and is welcoming to players and guests of all ages and skill levels, with seasoned pros on site to coach the less experienced.
Gary Torbett, Director of Golf at Chipstead gave his perspective on the offer and the motivations behind it when announcing the offer:
“We really want to welcome as many NHS workers as possible to take advantage of this offer… [it] will be a world away from this very exhausting and stressful period in their lives.”
The relative proximity of the grounds to the city (20 minutes by train from Croydon and 45 minutes from London Bridge), means that NHS workers all over London will be able to enjoy this oasis when the crisis ends.
